Company History

Rapid Business Systems, LLC has been operating under the name Welch Computer Services since 1991. During those 18 years in business, WCS has earned a reputation for exceptional customer service, top-notch technical expertise, and a staff of friendly, competent engineers.

Today, Rapid Business Systems is focused on delivering additional value to our clients through innovative deployment of precision information technology. We have several new product and service offerings that make us a better choice for your business than ever before. First and foremost among those offerings is our 24-hour Network Monitoring System. This system enables us to provide greatly enhanced system uptime for mission critical business computing. In simple terms, it means you get more uptime and fewer computer problems, so you can focus on your business, and not have to worry about your systems.

 

Billing Rates and Practices

Billing Rates
»
Standard rate: $110 per hour, assessed in half-hour increments following an initial one-hour minimum charge.

» Preferred rate: $95 per hour, assessed in half-hour increments following an initial one-hour minimum charge. Preferred rates are charged to our contract customers, and for work done inside our shop.

» Emergency work: $110 per hour, assessed in half-hour increments following an initial one-hour minimum charge. There is an additional $50 fee for all emergency calls. To receive priority treatment, please state clearly that you are experiencing an emergency when you call.

» Weekend & after-hours work:
Time-and-a-half of the prevailing rate, assessed in half-hour increments following an initial two-hour minimum charge. This higher rate is charged for work performed on weekends, before 8:00 am, or after 6:00 pm. Some service contracts eliminate these increased rates.

» Holiday work:
Double-time of the prevailing rate, assessed in half-hour increments following an initial two-hour minimum charge. This higher rate is charged for work performed on holidays. Some service contracts eliminate these increased rates.

Prepaid Blocks of Time
If you wish, you can buy our time in prepaid blocks of hours. Some of our clients find that this method allows them to better monitor and track time used. In addition, pre-paying for our time saves you 10% compared to our normal hourly charge, because each hour in the block costs only $90 per hour. Blocks of time can be purchased in blocks of 10, 20, 30 and 40 hours. Blocks of time have no expiration date, and we will send you a statement monthly if any work has been done during that month.

Minimum Charges
During regular business hours, we have a minimum charge of one hour. On weekends or holidays, we have a minimum charge of two hours.

Trip Fees
We do not charge trip fees for scheduled visits, or for visits to our contract customers. For emergency calls to non-contract clients, and for visits to clients located more than 25 miles from our office we charge a $50 trip fee. For clients located entirely outside the greater Denver metro area, we simply charge "portal-to-portal." That is, our billable time begins as soon as we leave our office, and does not stop until we return.

Phone Support
Phone support is always free of charge for contract customers. For other customers, phone support of less than 15 minutes per day is free, after which your prevailing rates apply, with a half-hour minimum.

Service Availability
We are available during standard business hours (9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday, excluding Holidays), and we generally have a response time of well under four hours. We also offer enhanced levels of service availability, available via a service contract. These contracts include options to increase our availability to 24 x 7 x 365, with a guaranteed response time of one hour on all calls or network alert notifications.
